Eiffel Tower

Can anyone guess what this is?

If you guessed public restroom you'd be right. And if you had been with us today you also may have guessed that it was our favorite tourist destination based on how much time we spent looking for it!  This is the joy of traveling anywhere with four little kids.  The great news is that our search for the potty also led us to this...

A fun playground in Champ de Mars park. And then this one...

And this one too...

Yes, we spent time at all of them. I find that Paris playgrounds are remarkably like Bridgewater playgrounds except that the surface is sand instead of grass and Mommy & Daddy can enjoy a beautiful Eiffel Tower view while the kids play.  We did have to teach Ethan how to say "no parlez vous francais" because a little girl was trying to talk to him and must have thought he was mute.

We actually did enjoy the Eiffel Tower very much -- from every side and underneath!  We even ate a picnic lunch sitting at a little park no more than 100 yards from it, I felt like I was in the movies (Is there a romantic movie where mom keeps saying don't poke your brother and dad is constantly counting heads and looking for toilette signs? That's the one I'm referring to :). Real life with beautiful scenery).

After a failed attempt at naps we ended our day with a visit to Notre Dame, crepes, and yes, another playground.

Now we are also failing at bedtime and it is almost midnight! But really, who can sleep when this is the view out your window?  Not just the Eiffle Tower but a twinkling Eiffle Tower!
